Encourage advisory groups to rework a fairy tale into a new and exciting modern story. The teens develop a script. Find actors (this can be a workshop or use a community partner). Easy to get materials, cardboard boxes, markers, etc.. Be sure to start prep early to gather materials. Divide them into groups and have the teams decorate the boxes to look like robot parts. dress a team member as a robot. What is a zine? Great way to get experience in design and bookmaking. Show off creative writing skills and interests. Use an active group of teens (TAB) to go over submissions.
