Vision Information and Communications Technology (ICT) will be the key driving mechanism in delivering IEEE's value over the coming decade. Enhancements will include modifications of the peer review process, video conference style interactions, electronic support for meetings, and new forms of interaction enabled by the Internet. Future growth of IEEE Societies will utilize "instant community" facilities to initiate and expand their activities. The IEEE's ability to deliver products that integrate its organizational units (OUs) within its Societies and Regions and the many other suppliers of related information will be the foundation for engineering innovation into the future.
